Storyteller.Rannie McCants is a multi-disciplinary writer from Cincinnati, OH. She studies Dramatic Writing at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts with a minor in Producing. She is a Spotify scholar, a YWCA Mamie Earl Sells scholar, and has received the Robert Fox Award for Young Writers. Most recently, her short play “Postcards” was produced by the Playwrights’ Center of San Francisco. She aims to uplift historically marginalized communities through stories that show ordinary people preserving through extraordinary circumstances. As Co-Chair of the Alumni Engagement Committee for the National Alumni Association for the Cincinnati School for Creative and Performing Arts (NAAcSCPA), she works to develop programming that builds community and provides opportunities for advancement for future generations of artists and thinkers. She has held producing roles at The Nightly Show with Larry Willmore and America by the Numbers with Maria Hinojosa. Currently, she is working on her thesis and pursuing opportunities to develop audio projects. |
